Queensland Flood

Hi everyone.
As we all know, Queensland is under going a flood which is bigger than the 1974 Brisbane flood.
I am safe, since I live in the Blue Mountains area.
But I just want to acknoledge the hard work and effort these rescuers have put in to keeping everyone safe, calm and alive. To the families of the 13 victims who have sadly passed away, I am thinking of you at the moment.
I am doing my hardest to help out. When the Red Cross knock on our doors, I am donating $5.00 and my family and I are sending up our old clothes to help out.
My dad's friend and his family live in Lindsey Street in Hawthrone, which is East of New Farm, one of the evacuated suburbs. They are next to the Brisbane River, which is to peak soon. Hopefully they are out of danger and have evacuated at the moment with their 3 children and cat.
And if you are ones of the thousands of families that have lost everything you have, I am hoping that you are ok at the moment.
I hope the rescuers are trying to find the 70 missing people.
Please God, help us out.
Love as always,
Erin, Tillie and Meredith.
